How it works

Three steps to a safe send

No setup and no extensions. You see the answer in seconds.

  1. Step 1: Paste an email

Type one email, paste a list, or upload a CSV file. The file is read in your browser.

  2. Step 2: We ask the mail server

We check the domain and ask its mail server if the inbox exists. No email is sent.

  3. Step 3: You get a clear status

Valid, risky, invalid or unknown. Send to valid emails and skip the rest.

Results

What the results mean

Every email gets one of four statuses.

Valid

The mail server says the inbox exists. Safe to send.

Risky or catch-all

The server accepts every address, so we cannot confirm this one. Send with care, or find a better email.

Invalid

The inbox does not exist or the domain takes no email. Do not send. It will bounce.

Unknown

The server did not give a clear answer, for example because it was slow or busy. Try again later.

FAQ

Questions about the free email verifier

Is the email verifier free?

Yes. Checking an email costs no credits. Every account gets free checks each day, also the free plan.

How many emails can I check?

Free and Light: 5 checks a day. Premium: 20 checks a day. Enterprise: 50 checks a day. Every email counts as one check, also in a list. Checks reset at 00:00 UTC.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign up free to run checks. It takes a minute and needs no credit card.

What is a catch-all email?

Some mail servers accept every address at their domain, real or not. We cannot confirm the inbox on these servers, so we mark the email as risky.

Does the verifier send an email?

No. We only talk to the mail server and stop before any message is sent. The person you check gets nothing.
