Looking for an SEO company to take over your organic search? The eight agencies in this guide are Ignite Visibility, Victorious, Siege Media, WebFX, Go Fish Digital, NP Digital, Searchbloom and Seer Interactive. Each one is an established firm with search at the center of its offer, and every fact below comes from the agency’s own website, so you can compare services, offices and history without wading through sponsored rankings.

Lists of top SEO companies often mix paid placements with real research. This one has no paid entries, and the sequence carries no ranking.

How we chose these eight

An agency made the list only if it met all five criteria as of October 26, 2026:

  1. Search is a core service, not one item buried in a long menu.
  2. The agency’s own site states where it is based or names its offices.
  3. It has run for several years, shown by a founding year, a history page or a long client record on its site.
  4. Its service menu is public, so you can see what it actually sells.
  5. Facts are checkable on the agency’s own pages. We did not use review sites, award lists or directories as sources.

Founding years, staff counts and client numbers are the agencies’ own figures. None of them publish fixed prices on the pages we checked, so price is not a column.

1. Ignite Visibility

Ignite Visibility was founded in 2013 by John Lincoln and Krishnan Coughran. It is headquartered in San Diego, has offices in Irvine, New York and Orlando, and also runs a fully remote team. The agency says more than 700 staff, which it calls Igniters, manage marketing for over 2,500 brands. In February 2023 it partnered with Mountaingate Capital and has since made acquisitions that include Integrated Digital Strategies, Outliant and Rallio.

Services:

  • SEO, local SEO, AI SEO and enterprise SEO
  • Digital PR and content marketing
  • PPC, paid social, display and influencer marketing
  • Conversion rate optimization, website and WordPress development
  • Email and SMS marketing, reporting and analytics

Price: not listed; the site offers a free audit and a proposal.

Strengths: SEO sits next to paid media and a proprietary AI platform (Rallio AI), which helps brands that want one team for every channel.

Limitations: because the agency is now a large multi-channel group, a business that only wants SEO may get more scope than it needs.

Good fit for: franchise and multi-location brands that want search, ads and local listings run together.

2. Victorious

Victorious was founded in 2013 as a broader digital marketing agency. In 2016 it made what it calls a hard pivot to focus on SEO alone, and today it sells SEO, AEO, content and web services. Its company page lists 1,050 brands served and says it has been named Search Agency of the Year five times.

Services:

  • AEO for answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews
  • Content marketing and SEO copywriting
  • On-page SEO, keyword research, SEO audit and site migration work
  • Off-page SEO and link building
  • Technical SEO and managed hosting

Price: not listed on the pages we checked.

Strengths: a single specialism means every team member works on organic search and AI search visibility.

Limitations: it does not run paid media, so ads need a separate partner.

Good fit for: SaaS, finance and private equity backed companies that want a dedicated search partner.

3. Siege Media

Siege Media describes itself as a full-service GEO agency. It was founded in 2012 by Ross Hudgens, who is still its CEO. It lists offices in Austin (1920 E. Riverside Dr), Chicago, New York City and San Francisco. Its approach is to win search and AI citations through content and digital PR rather than technical fixes alone.

Services:

  • Content strategy and BlueprintIQ planning
  • GEO, content creation and content marketing
  • Digital PR, research reports and graphic design
  • Reddit marketing and affiliate partnerships
  • Web design

Price: not listed on the pages we checked.

Strengths: a strong content and PR engine for brands that need links and mentions, not only on-page tweaks.

Limitations: the model leans on publishing content, so sites that cannot add many new pages may get less from it.

Good fit for: SaaS, fintech and e-commerce brands that compete on informational search.

4. WebFX

WebFX was founded in 1996 and is headquartered at 1705 North Front Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Its About page counts more than 750 digital marketing experts, and its homepage shows a running total of revenue the agency says it has driven for clients. It pairs services with its own software, RevenueCloudFX, and bought the Nutshell CRM in 2022.

Services:

  • SEO, local SEO and a GEO approach
  • PPC and social media advertising
  • Content marketing and web design
  • Conversion rate optimization
  • Amazon and marketplace marketing

Price: not listed on the pages we checked; the site offers a custom proposal.

Strengths: reporting runs through its own platform, with weekly updates and monthly calls described on the homepage.

Limitations: clients rely on the agency’s software stack for much of the reporting, which matters if you prefer your own dashboards.

Good fit for: mid-sized businesses that want SEO tied to lead tracking and a CRM.

5. Go Fish Digital

Go Fish Digital is a US agency with offices in Boston, Washington DC, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego and Jacksonville. Its service menu runs from research and strategy through SEO and reputation management to paid media and creative. Its homepage features case studies for Joybird and SimpleTexting.

Services:

  • SEO and generative engine optimization
  • Digital PR and online reputation management
  • Email marketing and conversion rate optimization
  • Paid search, paid social, TikTok Shop and programmatic
  • Brand, design and website development

Price: not listed on the pages we checked.

Strengths: reputation management sits next to SEO, which helps brands dealing with negative results for their name.

Limitations: the pages we read do not state a founding year or headcount.

Good fit for: consumer brands that want SEO and reputation work from one team.

6. NP Digital

NP Digital was co-founded in 2017 by Neil Patel and Mike Kamo. Its homepage lists 28 countries, more than 1,000 employees and over 270 clients, with teams across North America, APAC, Europe and Latin America. SEO is one of several earned media services alongside paid media, creative and data work.

Services:

  • Search engine optimization, AEO and GEO
  • App store optimization and content marketing
  • Digital PR, influencer marketing and organic social
  • Paid search, paid social, programmatic and streaming
  • Data, analytics, CRO and website design

Price: not listed on the pages we checked; it also runs separate SMB and franchise services.

Strengths: global coverage helps brands running SEO in several countries and languages.

Limitations: SEO is part of a large media network, so check who will work on your account day to day.

Good fit for: international brands that want search and media under one global agency.

7. Searchbloom

Searchbloom is a search marketing agency in South Jordan, Utah, founded in December 2014 according to its site data. Its CEO and founder is Cody C. Jensen. The agency focuses on SEO and PPC rather than a full marketing menu, and publishes a set of free tools such as an AI visibility checker and a schema markup generator.

Services:

  • SEO across local, national, e-commerce, enterprise and franchise sites
  • Technical SEO and Shopify or WooCommerce SEO
  • AEO, GEO and Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization
  • PPC management for Google Ads, Google Shopping and Bing Ads
  • Link building, digital PR, website development and CRO

Price: not listed; its site says pricing is set case by case after a meeting.

Strengths: a narrow search focus with both organic and paid options.

Limitations: a smaller footprint than the global agencies here, with one listed office.

Good fit for: e-commerce and local businesses that want SEO and Google Ads handled together.

8. Seer Interactive

Seer Interactive was started in 2002 by Wil Reynolds and is a Certified B Corp. It describes itself as known for AI research, development and strategy across organic search, GEO, paid media, analytics and creative. It also runs its own tools, SeerSignals and SeerSonar.

Services:

  • SEO and GEO
  • Paid media
  • Analytics and CRO
  • Creative services
  • AI consulting

Price: not listed on the pages we checked.

Strengths: deep analytics and research skills suit teams that want data behind every recommendation.

Limitations: the positioning is enterprise, so small businesses may find the engagement too large.

Good fit for: enterprise marketing teams that want SEO, paid search and measurement joined up.

How to choose an SEO agency

Start with the shape of your problem. A technical or migration issue points to an SEO-only firm such as Victorious or Searchbloom. A content gap suits Siege Media. If search is one channel among many, a full-service group such as Ignite Visibility, WebFX or NP Digital may be simpler to manage.

Google’s own page on hiring an SEO is worth reading before any sales call. It suggests asking for examples of past work, and it says plainly that no one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google. Its SEO starter guide adds that some changes take effect in hours while others can take several months, so judge early results after a few weeks, not days.

Questions worth putting to each shortlisted agency:

  • What would your first SEO audit cover, and who does the work?
  • How do you report on traffic, leads and AI search visibility?
  • Which parts are technical SEO, content and digital PR, and how is each priced?
  • What happens to content, links and reports if we end the contract?

If you plan to run outreach for links yourself, our guide to link building with an email finder covers the contact side, and finding decision makers helps when you pitch agencies or partners. For costs on our side, you can see pricing.

FAQ

How long does SEO take to show results?

Google’s starter guide says some changes can show up within hours and others take several months, and it suggests waiting a few weeks before judging an update. Agencies usually plan in quarters for that reason.

Can an SEO company guarantee first place on Google?

No. Google’s hiring advice says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking and warns against agencies that claim a special relationship with Google.

Should I hire an SEO-only firm or a full-service agency?

An SEO-only firm such as Victorious goes deep on one channel. A full-service agency suits teams that want SEO, ads and content planned together and billed once.

What is GEO?

Generative engine optimization is work aimed at getting a brand cited in AI answers from tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Several agencies on this list now sell it next to classic SEO.

What should be in an SEO proposal?

Look for a scope split into technical SEO, content and links, named team members, a reporting schedule and clear notice terms. Before you reply, our tips on writing cold emails people answer help if you want to contact several agencies at once.

Picking your shortlist

Decide first whether you need SEO alone or SEO as part of a wider marketing plan, then choose two or three names from the matching rows in the table. Ask each for the same audit and proposal, compare who would do the work, and only then look at price.
