8 Marketing Agencies Compared on Services, Offices and Track Record
Searching for the best marketing agencies usually turns up long rankings with little detail behind each name. This guide takes a narrower route. We picked eight established firms, Disruptive Advertising, Power Digital, Thrive, Wpromote, Tinuiti, Jellyfish, Brainlabs and Major Tom, and read their own websites to record what each one sells, where it works from and how long it has been running.
No agency paid to appear here, and list position means nothing. Each firm suits a different kind of buyer.
How we picked the agencies
Every agency had to meet these criteria on our review date, October 26, 2026:
- It sells marketing across several channels, such as paid media, search, social, creative and data, rather than one narrow service.
- It has a live website of its own with a public service menu.
- It shows a track record, for example a founding date, years trading or client and staff counts, on its own pages.
- We could confirm each fact on the agency’s site. Rankings, review platforms and award lists were not used as sources.
- Where an office address is published, we give it; where it is not, we say so.
Figures such as staff numbers, client counts and ad spend are the agencies’ own claims as shown on their sites. None of the eight publish package prices online.

How to choose a marketing agency
Match the agency to your main goal. If most of your budget goes into paid media and you want quick proof, look at Disruptive Advertising or Brainlabs. If you sell on marketplaces, Tinuiti’s commerce media work is the closest match. For a local or mid-sized business, Thrive or Major Tom may feel more personal than a global network.
Check how an agency describes results. The FTC’s advertising guidance says claims in ads must be truthful, not deceptive or unfair, and evidence-based, which is a fair standard to hold agencies to when they quote growth figures. If paid search matters, ask whether the firm is a Google Partner. Google’s Partner requirements page lists three categories, Performance, Spend and Certifications, including a 90-day ad spend of $10,000 and at least 50% of strategists certified.
Before your first call, list:
- Your monthly budget and which channels it covers today
- The numbers you report on, such as leads, revenue or return on ad spend
- Who on your side will approve creative and spend
- What you need from a full-service agency versus a specialist
Agencies often ask for a clean list of target accounts. Our walkthrough for putting together a B2B email list and our tips on preventing email bounces can help prepare that data. FAQ
What does a full-service agency do?
It plans and runs several channels at once, usually paid media, search, social, creative and analytics. Major Tom and Brainlabs both describe themselves this way.
What is performance marketing?
Marketing paid for and judged on measurable actions such as sales or leads. Disruptive Advertising builds its offer around this, with a 90-day results guarantee.
What is retail media?
Advertising sold by retailers and marketplaces, such as Amazon advertising, inside their own sites and apps. Brainlabs lists retail media as a service, and Tinuiti lists the closely related commerce media.
How much do marketing agencies cost?
No package prices appear on any of the eight sites. Wpromote’s contact form starts at an annual budget of $5 to $10 million, which shows its target size, while Thrive serves smaller firms.
Should I pick an agency with a guarantee?
A guarantee lowers your risk, but read what counts as a result and what happens if targets are missed. Ask for that in writing.
Building your shortlist
Pick two or three names whose focus matches your main channel and budget, send each the same short brief, and compare how they would measure success. An agency that explains its plan in plain terms is usually easier to work with.
